The European Parliament adopts a report to boost the implementation of the European Social Economy Action Plan
The document will guide the recommendations that the European Council is expected to adopt on this Plan in 2023. The report was adopted by a large majority of the European Parliament Plenary, with 493 votes in favour, 75 against and 69 abstentions. For the President of Social Economy Europe (SEE), Juan Antonio Pedreño: "This support means that the European institutions consider the social economy to be a lever for change in the EU and that it must necessarily form part of all EU policies".

CIRIEC held its 33rd International Congress from 13 to 15 June 2022, with a total of 1,217 participants and guests from 33 countries, 300 paper proposals received, of which 184 were accepted and 132 were presented. Keynote speakers at the Congress included the Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman and economist Mariana Mazzucato.
