The European Federation of Ethical and Alternative Banks (FEBEA) has launched the Youth Award on Ethical Finance and the Future, open to young European researchers aged 18 to 35. The award aims to assess young people’s knowledge and interest in Ethical Finance, seek innovative ideas for the sector, and strengthen the relationship between FEBEA and young people.
Submitted research must address ethical finance and related topics, including transformative economies; sustainable finance with a holistic approach integrating economic, social, environmental and governance dimensions; and impact finance with focus on transformation. The deadline for submissions is June 8th (23:59 CET), and the winner(s) will be announced from July 7th, 2025, via email.
FEBEA notes that submissions reflecting innovative ideas or original visions for the future of the financial system, transformative proposals, youth engagement strategies, and critical analysis of the Ethical and Social Finance ecosystem will be particularly valued.
Interested participants should complete the application form available at this link. In the form, candidates must upload a presentation video in English, lasting between 1 and 5 minutes. If the video has already been published online (Instagram, YouTube, etc.), the link can be shared, ensuring the Jury has access.
Applications will be evaluated by an Evaluation Committee. The jury will consist of a FEBEA Board member, executive team members, and a representative of Alternative Bank Suisse. Criteria will include relevance to FEBEA and ethical finance issues, originality and creativity, and the coherence and clarity of the ideas presented.
A Trip to Switzerland for the FEBEA 2025 General Assembly
Up to two winners will be awarded a trip to Switzerland from September 30 to October 3, including accommodation, to present their ideas at the Youth Meeting organized as part of the FEBEA 2025 General Assembly.
Non-selected participants are also encouraged to join the FEBEA youth community.
