Following the success of previous editions, with the participation of 40 universities and more than 5,000 people in 150 activities during the last edition, the ENUIES Network of CIRIEC-Spain once again calls on Centers, Institutes, Chairs, and other research structures in Social Economy to celebrate the 6th University Week of Social Economy. This event will take place from March 24 to April 2, 2025, inclusive.
As a novelty, the central event of #SemanaUniversitariaES 2025 will take place on April 2 in Jaén, as part of the inaugural day of the 20th International Congress of Social Economy Researchers of CIRIEC-Spain, which CIRIEC also encourage you to attend. CIRIEC invites the various research structures in Spain and Latin America to organize one or more activities related to Social Economy and its fields, in either in-person or online formats, hosted by their respective centers, faculties, or universities on one of the proposed dates. Together, these activites will create a comprehensive agenda highlighting the Social Economy in the academic environment.
The 6th University Week will also coincide with the United Nations’ declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives.
Each university center can organize multiple activities according to its objectives, resources, and availability. Activities may include lectures, roundtables, exhibitions, book presentations, research project results presentations, workshops, or specific training sessions, among others. The aim is to bring Social Economy the University and vice versa, showing what the University does for Social Economy. For this purpose, the ENUIES Network invites all Social Economy stakeholders to actively participate in the #SemanaUniversitariaES.
All participants in the University Week will receive a certificate of participation. Organizers are also requested to fill in the form for the activities scheduled in each center.
CIRIEC encourages all research structures to participate in the 6th University Week of Social Economy by submitting their proposals by March 4, 2025, through the following form. Representative entities in the sector are also invited to collaborate in the University Week by participating in the activities and disseminating them through their members, networks, and information channels.
